The condition of European security is that the Russian Federation does not win the war it is waging in Ukraine.

French President Emmanuel Macron stated this, according to TF1.

"An indispensable condition for our security is preventing Russia from winning the aggressive war it is waging in Ukraine. I fully accept my choice in Paris on February 26 to re-introduce strategic ambiguity," the French leader emphasized.

Macron emphasized that Ukraine is a necessary condition for European security.

"Do we have any limits? No. That's why we must be persuasive, deter, present, and continue efforts. Therefore, what we need to do, and this is a new paradigm, is a reliable defense of the European continent," he noted.

According to the French president, Europe should fill its reliable defense with content, which is a condition for restoring the general security system.

"Does this mean that we need a missile defense shield? Maybe. Do we need to build up our defense capabilities for this, and if so, what? Undoubtedly. That is why, in the coming months, I will invite all our partners to create this European defense initiative," he added.

For reference:

On February 17, French President Emmanuel Macron instructed the government to "make a statement to parliament" regarding the bilateral security agreement signed with Ukraine on February 16 and the situation in Ukraine in general, after which there will be "debates and votes."

It should be noted that France invited Ukraine's allies and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg to participate in a video conference on March 7. The meeting aims to demonstrate a "united front" and develop specific proposals for strengthening support for Ukraine.

Macron's high-profile statement about the possibility of sending Western troops to Ukraine was also discussed for a long time in Europe. After all, the French leader discussed sending his troops to Ukraine at a meeting he convened of Ukraine's partner countries in Paris on February 26.

Despite this, several other NATO member countries have already stated that they are not considering sending their troops to Ukraine. This was said in the White House of the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland, etc.

Subsequently, French Foreign Minister Stéphane Séjourné noted that France could send its soldiers to Ukraine to help with various tasks but not to participate in hostilities.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, assured that the French military "will not die in Ukraine." As long as Ukraine holds on, they are unlikely to have to risk their lives defending one of the NATO countries.
