Solutions to win: Ukrainian naval drones capable of delivering one ton of explosives across 1,000 kilometers

The latest Ukrainian drones have been upgraded to carry almost one ton of explosives and cover a distance of 1,000 kilometers.

The Security Service of Ukraine spokesman Artem Dekhtiarenko stated this on the telethon air.

"This means that the Security Service of Ukraine can reach a target almost anywhere in the Black Sea," the spokesperson said.

Dekhtiarenko did not disclose all of the technical specifications but mentioned that these are "next-generation drones" developed collaboratively by experts from the Security Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and "other comrades."

According to the Security Service representative, the current Sea Baby drone differs from the previous model in appearance and technical characteristics and is also capable of delivering almost a ton of explosives over 1,000 kilometers.

In 2022, the spokesman stated that no other maritime attack drones could compete with those of the Security Service. At the time, Western drones were bulky and lacked maneuverability, making them prone to detection by enemy radar.

"Today, a drone worth 8.5 million hryvnias destroys an enemy warship worth several tens of millions of dollars," the Security Service spokesman said.

According to Dekhtiarenko, these drones have already hit 11 Russian ships:

For reference:

On December 26, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces attacked the large amphibious ship of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation "Novocherkask" in the Feodosia region.

Also, on the night of February 1, Ukrainian scouts destroyed the missile boat "Ivanovets" of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation. Its value is approximately 60-70 million dollars.

Also, with Sea Baby's help, Ukraine's Security Service damaged the Crimean Bridge, "which cannot be destroyed." And together with him, the self-confidence of the Russians was finally buried.

In addition to the Security Service, the Main Directorate of Intelligence also uses naval drones against the Russians. Ukraine's intelligence has its own drone – Magura.

As reported, the Russian military industry is trying to close the gap with Ukraine in developing surface maritime attack drones.
