The invaders continue deporting Ukrainian children, this time planning to abduct 300 kids from Berdiansk to the Chuvashia region in Russia.

Ukrainian children are the last thing the enemy thinks about, says the mayor of occupied Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

Fedorov believes that children for them are a bargaining chip for blackmail.

The mayor said that the occupiers are taking almost 300 children from the Berdiansk district to the "sunny" Chuvashia Republic.

Fedorov also emphasized that 48 children were reported to have been already abducted. Others are going to be taken out in several shifts.

First, they seized Ukrainian territories and deprived children of at least the Sea of Azov (in fact, a happy childhood). Now they are sending children 1,600 km away from home deep into Russia.

Next, they will manipulate the situation in the Berdiansk direction and keep children in Russia as hostages. Ukrainian children are the last thing the enemy thinks about. For them, this is a bargaining chip for blackmail, Fedorov emphasized in his message.

As of June 14, 19,499 children were already deported to Russia and the so-called republics, of which only 373 minors were returned home.

On April 27, the Parliamentary Assembly of the EU Council adopted a resolution in which it recognized the forced transfer of Ukrainian children to Russia as genocide.

On March 17, the International Criminal Court in The Hague issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin and his deputy Maria Lvova-Belova. They are accused of illegally deporting children from Ukraine to Russia in the period from February 24, 2022.
