Ukrainian defenders plant "forest of victory" on outskirts of Bakhmut
On the outskirts of the eastern city of Bakhmut, Dneskr region, Ukrainian defenders from the 93rd brigade planted a "forest of victory."
Forests of Ukraine published a video of soldiers planting trees.
Foresters said that together with humanitarian aid, they delivered saplings with a closed root system to the military of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
"Despite fierce battles, lack of sleep, and rest, our defenders find the time to help nature!" the department added.
The eastern city of Bakhmut has been an epicenter of the fiercest battles and is considered the biggest flashpoint on the front line and Ukraine's stronghold. Ukraine's armed forces have been holding the city amid an onslaught of Russian mercenaries from Wagner private military company since the summer of 2022, becoming the most prolonged and most brutal fight of the war.
