Zelenskyi comments on statement on Russian troops withdrawing
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi says that reducing the number of Russian troops at the border is proportionally reducing tensions.
He wrote about this on Twitter.
"Reducing the number of troops on our border proportionally reduces tensions. Ukraine is always ready but welcomes any steps to reduce the military presence and de-escalate the situation in Donbas. Ukraine seeks peace. Thank you to international partners for their support," he said.

As Rubryka previously reported, on March 30, Ruslan Khomchak, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told the Verkhovna Rada that 28 battalion tactical groups of the Russian Armed Forces were stationed along the state border of Ukraine.
The Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) has discovered a field camp of Russian troops near the border with Kharkiv and Luhansk regions in the Voronezh region. The exercises could not explain this.
ICG analysts later said that Russian troops near the border with Ukraine were not enough for a large-scale offensive.
On April 22, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that Russia was going to withdraw troops from the Ukrainian border.
