"Form" ugliness overcome. Where should victims of domestic violence turn to?

Human rights activists, with the assistance of the government's gender policy commissioner, forced the Ministry of Social Policy to develop a document that allows victims of domestic violence to receive free secondary legal aid.

And it all started with a documentary about human rights. More precisely, from the DOCU ACTS Against Psychological Violence Against Children advocacy campaign, which the Docudays UA THINK! film club implemented in March – July 2021 in the Chuhuiv city territorial community of the Kharkiv region.

And in the course of communication with police officers, social services, and teachers, we found that there was a legal problem (at the national level!) in the implementation of the mechanism of interaction of subjects involved in measures to prevent and combat domestic violence: there was no form of referral of victims to the center for free secondary legal aid.
