Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine salutes to the end of war in Nagorno-Karabakh

Ukraine welcomes the cessation of hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict by Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stated this in connection with the war ending in Nagorno-Karabakh.

"We believe that the next step should be to restore the stability and vitality of the region, and to continue international efforts to achieve a full settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict based on international law," the statement said.

The Foreign Ministry reminded that Ukraine invariably and unconditionally supports the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan within internationally recognized borders.

"This principle is fundamental for Ukraine, since we are still suffering from Russian aggression, and a part of our territory remains under the temporary occupation of Russia," Ukrainian diplomats stressed.

Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia had signed a statement to end the war in Nagorno-Karabakh on the night of November 10.

According to the statement, Azerbaijan and Armenia remain in their positions, along the line of conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the corridor connecting Nagorno-Karabakh with the Republic of Armenia, Russian Federation is deploying a "peacekeeping contingent."

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has stated that not only Russian but also Turkish peacekeepers will be stationed in Nagorno-Karabakh. Noticeably, the statement of the three leaders doesn't mention Turkey anywhere, including the issue of peacekeepers.

Armenia denies Turkish military involvement in the Nagorno-Karabakh peacekeeping center.

To recap, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the Armenian military should leave Nagorno-Karabakh by the end of this month.

As reported, 12 planes with the Russian military flew to Karabakh.
