Ukraine tests robots for medical evacuation

Ukraine held open trials of ground robotic systems, according to Deputy Minister for Strategic Industries Hanna Hvozdiar.
These systems can be used for medical evacuation on the front lines, Rubryka reports.
What's the problem?
"We need to replace people with machines wherever possible. After all, the most valuable thing we have on the front lines is people," said Hvozdiar.
According to medical teams' estimates, 50% of severely wounded individuals cannot be saved due to prolonged evacuation from the battlefield and a lack of stationary stabilization points.
What's the solution?
Ground robotic systems suitable for medical evacuation have been recently tested in Ukraine.
"I want to share good news with you today! Together with the Main Directorate of Unmanned Systems and Brave1, we conducted trials of ground robotic systems suitable for medical evacuation," said the deputy minister for strategic industries.

How does it work?
"The robots will be able to evacuate the wounded from under heavy fire. This is a super important story because it will save the lives of our medics, and soldiers will be able to receive help faster and have a better chance of rapid evacuation," said Deputy Minister Hvozdiar.
Seven manufacturers presented their products: Terra Travers, "Robotic Complexes," Keep Robotics, Trident Technologies, Ukrainian Unmanned Technologies, Tencore, and "X."
Representatives of the Medical Forces Command and front-line medics evaluated the robots. Manufacturers received constructive criticism and advice on improving their products to be as useful as possible on the front lines. This interaction leads us to the best products needed on the front lines today, Hvozdiar added.

"Not all manufacturers could come today, so we will continue. We will conduct further professional tests in conditions close to combat, with electronic warfare systems and other means of counteraction, on appropriate terrain, and so on," said the deputy minister. "Immense thanks to all manufacturers. You are incredible, your products are cool, and most importantly, you are ready to improve them! We will do this together. The best army in the world — the best weapons!"
In related news, Ukrainian inventors from the Brave1 cluster have developed a remote-controlled evacuation platform, FoxTac, which can evacuate wounded soldiers from the battlefield.
Rubryka also reported that a displaced person from Sloviansk, Dmytro Mamonov, has developed stretchers for transporting the wounded.
Moreover, two volunteers, Volodymyr Mussur and Roman Borynets from Broshniv-Osada, Ivano-Frankivsk region, are creating a ground drone for evacuating wounded soldiers. The radio-controlled device will accelerate to 20 km/h and can carry at least 150 kg.
Rubryka also reported that mobile stabilization points for rescuing severely wounded individuals on the front lines were presented in Kyiv.
