Explosions heard in occupied Crimea, Russian air defense active in Rostov

On October 23, during the afternoon hours in Rostov, Russia, there was significant noise due to military air defense activity. Initial reports indicate that two aerial targets have been intercepted and shot down.

The Shot Telegram channel reported this.

"Air defense is working in the sky over Rostov-on-Don. Previously, two air targets were shot down," the message says.

According to the Telegram channel, no casualties were reported. The consequences are clarified.

Subsequently, the governor of the Rostov region, Vasyl Golubev, reported on Telegram:

"At 2:59 p.m., air defense units successfully engaged air targets. There were no casualties or damage on the ground," wrote an official of the aggressor country.

He added that air defense systems located in the Rostov region "perform tasks in the "special military operation's zone" to destroy air targets."

It was also noisy in occupied Sevastopol this afternoon. As reported by local Telegram channels, an explosion rang out in the city.

"Sevastopol. Loud… We are waiting for information," reports "ChP. Sevastopol" Telegram channel.

So far, the occupiers have not commented on the information about the explosion in Sevastopol.

It's worth mentioning that explosions and fires at military facilities occur more frequently in the territory of Russia. The authorities of the regions bordering Ukraine frequently raise concerns about "drone attacks."

The situation in occupied Sevastopol

In recent months, explosions have occurred more often in Sevastopol and other Crimean cities.

On October 20, Russian troops declared an airstrike in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. Following this, the sound of explosions could be heard throughout the city.

Also, on the evening of October 18, an alarm was announced in Sevastopol after the explosions rang out in the Saharna Golovka village.

In the temporarily captured Sevastopol on Sunday evening, October 22, explosions were heard, and a column of smoke was visible in the Kozacha Bay area. An air alert has been announced in Sevastopol.

Earlier, Putin hinted that planes with Kinzhal missiles would patrol over the Black Sea.

In turn, Ukraine's Air Force stated that nothing would fundamentally change for the Ukrainian Defense Forces, despite new threats by the president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, about MiG-31K patrols in the Black Sea.
