On Monday, August 21, President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the Danish Parliament (Folketing), Rubryka reports.

Zelensky thanked Denmark for its help in resisting Russian aggression. He noted that Russia's neighbors will be threatened if Ukraine fails to stand up.

"International law will not be revived. The democracies of the world — each of them — can become a target either of missiles, mercenaries, or destabilization. I'm sure you feel it. But I'm sure Ukraine will persevere. I strive that you see, hear, feel it — Ukraine will persevere," he said.

Zelensky expressed gratitude from all Ukrainians for the military assistance and solidarity provided.

"Thank you for the Harpoons — the Russians are afraid of them. Thank you for the Caesars, the Leopards, the Bradleys, the drones — yes, they are afraid of drones — the artillery, the mine-clearing machines. All this is in the service of freedom just now, to protect people's lives," Zelensky said.

The President separately thanked for the promised F-16 fighter jets, noting that Ukraine has gone from Javelins and Stingers to them.

"Thank you, Denmark, for the F-16. There were times when they said that this would not happen and that it was not worth fighting when they did not believe in us, in you, in people. When they said that it is easier to freeze your desire to live. But humanity has turned into solidarity. Solidarity has turned into leadership, including yours," he said.
