Ministry of Defense marks Ukraine's achievements during 500 days of Russian aggression

Today is the 500th day since the beginning of the Russian aggression on the territory of Ukraine. From the first day of the war, Ukrainian soldiers continue to fulfill their tasks and knock out the enemy from the occupied territories.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar recalled the successes of Ukraine's military during the war on Telegram.
As the representative of the Ministry of Defense recalled, exactly 497 days ago, the Ukrainian military destroyed the enemy's expectations "to capture Kyiv in three days" and dispelled the myth of the "second army" in front of the eyes of the whole world.
In particular, as the Deputy Minister of Defense stressed that:
- 462 days ago, Ukraine's armed forces liberated the Kyiv region and the north of Ukraine. At the same time, the Russian mass media talked about their first "gesture of goodwill";
- 451 days ago, the cruiser "Moscow" was sunk;
- 380 days ago, Ukraine received the first Himars reactive artillery systems from its allies;
- 373 days ago, Snake Island was liberated;
- 305 days ago, Ukrainian soldiers launched a counteroffensive on the Kharkiv region. At the same time, the world was amazed by how the heroes broke down the enemy's defense in an unprecedented way;
- 273 days ago, the first blow was struck on the Crimean Bridge, which broke the enemy's logistics;
- 239 days ago, Kherson returned to the control of Ukraine;
- 113 days ago, Ukraine obtained an arrest warrant for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin in The Hague;
- 80 days ago, Ukraine received powerful air defense equipment from its partners – the Patriot system;
- It has been 65 days since the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down the Russian "supersonic" Kinzhal missile for the first time.
"At this very moment, our soldiers are liberating the occupied lands in the east and south in heavy battles. Very soon, we will start training pilots for the F-16," Maliar emphasized.
On the occasion of the 500th day of Russian aggression, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recorded a video address to Ukrainians and thanked the soldiers for fighting the enemy.

On July 7, 36 combat clashes took place between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and the Russian invaders on five fronts. Ukraine's armed forces destroyed eight enemy artillery and two anti-aircraft defenses.
As Rubryka wrote, yesterday, July 7, the Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated more than 600 invaders; since the beginning of the Russian aggression, the invaders lost more than 233,400 soldiers.
In addition, Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that the Defense Forces of Ukraine had advanced over a kilometer in the direction of Bakhmut.
Also, the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalev, said that the Ukrainian troops were successful in the offensive near Klishchiivka on the Bakhmut front and repelled enemy attacks on the Lyman, Avdiivka, and Mariinka fronts.
And Bloomberg reported that Ukraine surpassed the aggressor country in terms of the number of tanks.
