ZNPP fire: fighting has stopped, radiation status hasn't changed

At the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, equipment and power units remain intact, and fighting has stopped.

This was reported by the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU), and the mayor of Enerhodar Dmytro Orlov on the Rada TV channel.

"ZNPP units remain intact, there is damage to the reactor compartment of Unit № 1, which doesn't affect the safety of the unit. Systems and elements important for the safety of NPPs are in working order. No changes in radiation status have been recorded so far. The main equipment and power units of ZNPP remain intact," the SNRIU reports.

The mayor of Enerhodar noted that "neither in the city nor at the station," fights don't happen.

And although there were interruptions the day before, the city has electricity and water supply. However, Enerhodar "sits without heat" through a broken pipe.
