Ukrainian forces eliminate over 1,100 occupiers and destroy 28 Russian artillery systems and 11 tanks

Over the past day, the Ukrainian forces eliminated over 1,100 Russian troops, bringing the total Russian losses in live force to nearly 429,500 since the start of the full-scale invasion.

According to the defenders, the Ukrainian military "demilitarized" thousands of units of armored, automotive equipment, and aviation of the Russian forces during the almost 752 days of war, Rubryka reports, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

Yesterday, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed 11 tanks, 24 armored vehicles, and 28 artillery systems. Furthermore, paratroopers downed four UAVs and two cruise missiles.

The Russian combat losses from February 24, 2022, to March 17, 2024, approximately amounted to:

  • Personnel: about 430,740 (+1,160) individuals
  • Tanks: 6,790 (+11) units
  • Armored fighting vehicles: 12,997 (+24) units
  • Artillery systems: 10,634 (+28) units
  • MLRS: 1,017 (+0) units
  • Air defense systems: 720 (+1) units
  • Aircraft: 347 (+0) units
  • Helicopters: 325 (+0) units
  • Tactical UAVs: 8,272 (+4) units
  • Cruise missiles: 1,922 (+0) units
  • Ships/boats: 26 (+0) units
  • Submarines: 1 (+0) unit
  • Automotive vehicles and tankers: 14,073 (+49) units
  • Specialized equipment: 1,723 (+11) units.

According to the military command, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.

During the day, the Air Force struck four areas of concentration of Russian personnel, armament, and military equipment. Missile troops units struck at the command post, two areas of concentration of personnel, and one enemy air defense facility.

Overnight on March 17, Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with 16 combat drones: air defense forces downed almost all the "Shahed" drones, but two preserved agro-enterprises were hit.
