Ukraine's national postal service, "Ukrposhta," has announced the release of a block of stamps featuring iconic wartime photos to mark the 10th anniversary of Ukrainian resistance.

According to the Ukrainian post chief Ihor Smiliansky, this week holds special significance in Ukrainian history as it marks ten years since the start of the Russian-Ukrainian war and two years since Russia's full-scale invasion, Rubryka reports.

"It was really challenging to find artistic images that would convey the feelings experienced by millions of Ukrainians. It's tough now, but we must persevere. That's why we chose the theme, 'And Spring Will Come,' for the stamp because, like our victory, spring will surely come," said Smilianskyi.

The stamp will feature four well-known photos reminding of these ten years:

  • The standoff with armed "little green men" during the capture of the Belbek Airport in Crimea (2014),
  • A warrior in the sunlight at Azovstal,
  • The wedding of volunteer medics in a destroyed building in Kharkiv,
  • The hands of a soldier from the "Snizhka" battalion, just a few hundred meters from enemy trenches on the outskirts of Bakhmut.

The stamp can be pre-ordered starting today using the link, and Ukrposhta will officially launch it for sale nationwide on February 23.

As Rubryka reported, Ukrposhta has announced a complete transition to automated parcel sorting. The national postal operator launched the first automated parcel sorting line in April 2023.

It was also reported that Ukrposhta has released a stamp dedicated to municipal workers who are restoring critical infrastructure after Russian missile attacks.

Ukrposhta has issued a stamp called the "Cross of Military Merit." This is the first stamp dedicated to a military award during the full-scale war.
