Russian shelling kills one and injures six in Kherson region

The Russian Federation's military again attacked the territories of the Kherson region. Today, as a result of enemy fire, one person died, and six more law enforcement officers were injured.

The Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported that.

According to the prosecutors, six policemen were wounded during the morning enemy shelling of the village of Dariivka.

"Prosecutors are taking all possible and appropriate measures to document war crimes committed by representatives of the armed forces of the Russian Federation," the prosecutor's office emphasized.

Also today, for about 10 hours, the Russian army shelled the center of Kherson. As a result of an enemy attack in the city, an older man who was walking down the street at that moment died.

"As a result of another shelling of the central part of Kherson by the Russian occupying forces, a man died," the message reads.

The body of the deceased was discovered on the morning of Sunday, December 17. The identity of the victim has already been established. The deceased recently turned 81 years old.

In total, over the past 24 hours, Russian troops shelled the Kherson region more than 96 times, and the city of Kherson was hit 40 times.

Last night, December 16, the Russian occupiers shelled Kherson and the region. The Russians used artillery, as well as drones of Iranian development.

In Kherson, a hit was recorded near an infrastructure facility, and premises were damaged. Two men were injured.

In Stepanivka near Kherson, debris from a downed Shahed drone fell, and a hospital was damaged. The moment of the attack on the medical facility was caught on video.

Also that night, enemy kamikaze drones were shot down in Kherson and the region. In the city, the fall of the wreckage of the Shahed UAV was recorded.

Initially, Ukraine's Air Force reported the initial sightings of the Shahed UAVs, which occurred after 9 PM. Attack drones were also detected in the regions of Mykolaiv and Kharkiv.

As of 10:50 p.m., it became known that part of the UAV was over the Kirovohrad region and was moving in a western direction. Other Shahed drones flew from the Dnipropetrovsk region toward the Poltava region.

The threat was also announced in Odesa. An air alert was additionally announced in the Kherson, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr regions. Then Shahed UAVs reached Starokostyantyniv.

During the combat operation of air defense on the night of December 17, one of the targeted drones fell on a private residential building in the Odesa district and exploded; one person was killed.

It should be noted that on the night of December 17, the occupiers launched 20 attack drones, a Kh-59 guided air missile, and an Iskander missile over Ukraine. Ukrainian air defenses shot down all the drones and the Kh-59.
