Prometheus education platform starts free drone engineering course

A free basic training course for drone engineers has been launched on the Prometheus educational platform, says co-founder Ivan Prymachenko.

What is the problem?

Russia's war raised the issue of training design engineers. The development of drone industry has become extremely relevant.

"This is one of the key factors that brings us closer to victory and allows us to save many lives. Where there are no drones, people become expendable," the Prometheus platform said in a statement.

Drones are important part of Ukraine's armament. According to the State Service for Special Communications the number of Ukrainian drones is expected to increase to tens of thousands by the end of the year. Drone engineering is important for defending the country and developing the economy.

What is the solution?

"Together with the Victory Drones project of the Dignitas Foundation, we have opened registration for a free Drone Engineer course on Prometheus," said Prymachenko.

The course will provide basic knowledge of drone engineering and prepare students to assemble and repair the vehicles.

All lessons will attract as many citizens as possible to this industry, who might create technological solutions for Ukraine's victory.

How does it work?

What makes the course special, is its experts. Some of the authors have tons of fundamental academic knowledge. The course was created by military personnel with experience of using drones in the combat zone.

The expert team has joined forces to provide students with the necessary knowledge.

All participants will master the minimum knowledge of aerodynamics and meteorology required for drone engineers, as well as learn about drone types, their structure, application and repair features, and see how they are maintained, improved or repaired in real life conditions.

The online course starts on November 24.
