The latest UK intelligence report states that Russian forces lost 200 pieces of heavy equipment during another round of the Avdiivka assault.

According to British analysts, Russia suffered such losses because of the effectiveness of modern Ukrainian hand-held anti-tank weapons, mines, ammunition drops from drones, and high-precision artillery systems.

After such losses in armored vehicles, the Russian forces began using motorized infantry to attack Avdiivka.

As with previous offensives, the assaults on Avdiivka were often characterized by advancing across open terrain, resulting in heavy losses in personnel.

British intelligence suggests that since the beginning of October, the Russian army has lost several thousand soldiers in the assaults on the Donetsk city.

The Russian command continues to demonstrate its willingness to suffer heavy losses of personnel for the sake of minor territorial gains, the statement said.

The British intelligence reported that neither Ukrainian nor Russian troops were able to break through the front line in Ukraine due to the strong air defense of both sides and the huge contact line that must be held.

The Ukrainian offensive remains relatively static between two main lines of well-prepared Russian defensive positions in the south. As for Avdiivka, a large-scale Russian offensive encountered a strong Ukrainian defense.

The Estonian Defense Forces Intelligence Center has stated that in the coming weeks, Russia will continue to maintain the intensity of hostilities to capture the city by the end of this year.

Despite the fact that, according to the spokesman for the Southern Defense Forces Oleksandr Shtupun the occupiers have lost 6,500 soldiers since the beginning of the offensive on Avdiivka on October 29.

British intelligence claims that active assaults by the occupation forces have led to a 90% increase in Russian army losses in the war against Ukraine.

The head of the city's military administration Vitalii Barabash said that Russian troops are continuously shelling Avdiivka, risking being turned into a completely destroyed city in 2-3 weeks.
