Ukrainian government to fund reconstruction of 97 buildings in war-battered Kyiv region

The Ukrainian government will fund the reconstruction of 97 buildings in the Kyiv region.
The Kyiv regional military administration reports that the work has already begun.
What is the problem?
During the first month of the war, Russian occupation, and continuous shelling of the Kyiv region after the de-occupation, the Russian forces destroyed and damaged about 26,000 buildings, of which almost 5,000 private houses and about 170 high-rise buildings were completely destroyed.
What is the solution?
"97 buildings will be rebuilt through the fund to eliminate the consequences of armed aggression," the military administration said.
How does it work?
"Within this program, local budgets are provided with funding for projects to eliminate the outcomes of armed aggression," the administration added.
The Kyiv region will repair and build from scratch:
- 56 buildings through the Kyiv regional military administration — 30 multi-apartment residential buildings, 12 educational institutions, 12 shelters, and two medical facilities;
- 11 multi-apartment residential buildings through the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure;
- 30 buildings through local authorities — 27 residential buildings, two educational institutions, and one shelter.
The military administration said work has already begun on seven buildings.
Rubryka reported that over 12,600 buildings have been restored in the Kyiv region; over 11,000 are multi-apartment and private housing.
The village of Shybene in the Kyiv region also restored a kindergarten school.
With the assistance of international partners, almost 4,000 windows have already been installed in the communities of the Kyiv region.
