Denmark's first F-16s to arrive in Ukraine before the end of 2023 – Danish PM

The Danish Prime Minister said eight planes will arrive next year, five more in a year.

Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen stated this on August 20 during a press conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

More than 70 people from Ukraine have already arrived in Denmark for training on fighter jets, and Zelensky met with them.

It has already been reported that Denmark and the Netherlands will give Ukraine F-16 fighter jets.

For reference:

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine would receive 42 F-16 fighter jets from the Netherlands after training Ukrainian pilots and engineers.

Mark Rutte confirmed at the press conference that the training will take place in the Netherlands, Denmark, and Romania. According to him, Ukrainian pilots are currently receiving language training.
