United to win: German rescuers provide Ivano-Frankivsk colleagues with new equipment

Rescuers from Ivano-Frankivsk received special vehicles and property from colleagues from Germany.

The State Emergency Service in the Ivano-Frankivsk region reported this.

It is noted that the fire truck ladder and a car for the chemical, biological, and radiation protection unit were purchased by the rescuers of the commune of Glinice and the city of Strausberg, and assistance in logistics and the reception by the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the region was provided by the Voivodeship Command of the State Fire Service in Kraków.

The fire truck ladder, intended for lifting firefighters to the upper floors and evacuating people, will be on duty in the city of Ivano-Frankivsk. The State Emergency Service noted that it is quite maneuverable and extends to a height of 24 meters.

The car for the chemical, biological, and radiation protection unit will be used by the specialized branch of the Special Purpose Emergency and Rescue Team for work as assigned, in particular for the prompt delivery of rescuers to the site of an emergency, radiation, and chemical reconnaissance, liquidation of an emergency situation associated with the release and spill of dangerous chemicals.

In addition to cars, equipment, and supplies for rescuers were handed over.
