At the moment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot either deny or confirm the information about the so-called withdrawal of russian troops from Kherson, but offensive actions are proceeding according to the plan
Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov, deputy chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced this during the briefing, Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I want to emphasize that behind every so-called "gesture of goodwill" by the enemy, there are colossal efforts of our soldiers.
Just as the enemy was withdrawing from Kyiv, Kharkiv Oblast, and leaving Zmiiny, the probable withdrawal from Kherson is the result of our active actions.
Directly in the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed the enemy's logistics routes and support systems. They violated his system of commanding the troops, thereby leaving the enemy no choice but to flee.
But at the moment, we can neither deny nor confirm information about the so-called withdrawal of russian troops from Kherson," Hromov emphasized.
He urged to wait for further official reports from the General Staff regarding the situation in the Kherson region.
Hromov emphasized that the Defense Forces of Ukraine meanwhile continued the offensive operation according to their plan.
"In the Luhansk region, units of our troops advanced in some directions during the hostilities to a distance of up to 2 km in the past day. Active actions continue in the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions," he said.
As reported, on November 9, the commander of the russian group of occupation troops, Sergei Surovikin, and the Minister of Defense of the russian federation, Sergei Shoigu, announced the withdrawal of troops from Kherson to the left bank of the Dnipro.
That day, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that it was too early to talk about the withdrawal of russian troops from Kherson.

On November 9, it was reported that Ukrainian defenders liberated the villages of Pravdyne and Kalynivske in the Kherson region.
