russia's plans for annexed territories of Ukraine: kremlin plans to create "Crimean District"

russia may create "Crimean Federal District," using the newly annexed territories of Ukraine

Vedomosti writes about this with reference to an interlocutor in the Federation Council of the russian federation and a source close to the "Government of Crimea."

As noted, they want to include the peninsula and the captured territories of Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions in this district.

The creation of the new Crimean district will occur after the illegal and sham "referendums" on "joining" russia, which the invaders will complete on the captured territories of Ukraine on September 27.

Dmytro Rogozin, the former general director of Roscosmos, may head the new entity, an interlocutor at one of the defense industry enterprises and two sources close to the Administration of the President of the russian federation told Vedomosti.

An interlocutor close to the kremlin says that a decision on rogozin will be made shortly – and it will most likely be positive.

He explained the need to create a new "federal district" by the "difficult situation" that has developed around the "referendums on the accession" of new territories: they say that a "political heavyweight" is needed to manage them.

Another source close to the putin administration explains the possible appointment of rogozin as the president's deputy in this "federal district" as follows: "There is a large front of work there, so it is quite possible."

The source added that rogozin has not yet been appointed to a federal position, but he may be offered a job there.

We will remind that Rogozin left the position of Roscosmos head on July 15. Then the spokesman of the President of the russian federation, Dmytro Peskov, said that later "he will have a new job."

Now, neither Peskov nor Rogozin has answered questions about the appointment.

A source in Roscosmos said that so far, the representatives of rogozin's team, who remain in the company, are not preparing to be transferred to a new place of work. According to this interlocutor, the former head of the state corporation would like this appointment.

The federal official did not hear that the potential presidential deputy in the new "district" would be given additional powers at the government level.

From the side of the Cabinet of Ministers of the russian federation, issues related to the occupied territories of Ukraine are dealt with by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Husnullin, Vedomosti reports.

Reference

On September 20, the leaders of the "L/DNR" and collaborators in the russian-occupied territories of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions announced a "staged demonstration of the will to join russia" and scheduled them for September 23-27.

Western leaders have already declared that any russian fictitious staging will be illegitimate.

At the same time, on September 21, putin said that the russian federation would recognize the results of sham referendums.

The President's Office assured russia and its accomplices in the occupied territories of Ukraine that pseudo-referendums would not provide an opportunity to legalize the capture of Ukrainian lands.

Already on the evening of September 25, in all the occupied territories of the east and south of Ukraine, except for the Kherson region, the pseudo-referendums were recognized as having taken place due to the "high level of turnout."

It is expected that the results of the so-called "referendums" will be publicly announced on September 28.

And already on September 30, the President of the russian federation, vladimir putin, can address the Federal Assembly and announce the accession of new territories to russia.

On September 21, putin addressed the citizens of russia and, having supported the illegal "referendums," announced the beginning of partial mobilization in the russian federation.
