putin may soon announce annexation of occupied territories, although without desired effect in russia — British intelligence

On September 30, during a speech before the russian parliament, the president of the russian federation, vladimir putin, may announce the annexation of the occupied Ukrainian territories

This is reported by Rubryka, referring to the British Ministry of Defense's intelligence review.

British intelligence states that "there is a real possibility that putin will use his speech to officially announce the accession of the occupied regions of Ukraine to the russian federation."

British intelligence officers reminded that the "referendums" currently underway in these territories should end on September 27.

"russia's leaders almost certainly hope that any accession announcement will be seen as a vindication of the 'special military operation' and will consolidate patriotic support for the conflict," the review emphasizes.

However, according to British intelligence, this ambition is likely to be undermined by growing domestic awareness of russia's recent battlefield sets-backs. And also considerable concern about the partial mobilization announced last week.

Earlier, British intelligence stated that russia faces organizational difficulties in providing everything necessary for the training of the mobilized. These people can find themselves on the front lines after minimal training.

The russian mass media reported that on September 30, the russian federation could announce the "accession" of the occupied regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions.

Also, British intelligence believes that russia could use partial mobilization to strengthen the russian guard.

Earlier, British intelligence noted that the situation on the battlefield, in general, remains difficult. Still, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are putting pressure on those territories that the russian federation considers very important for its military goals.

Also, according to the intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense, mobilization in the russian federation will be extremely unpopular.
