Dzheppar assures that "several dozen countries" will attend "Crimean Platform"

Several dozen countries will take part in the Crimean Platform Summit.

First Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Emine Dzheppar stated this during the "Ukraine 30. International Politics" forum, zn.ua reports.

"There are now three categories of countries. The first category is those that have officially confirmed their participation. This is many countries. The second category is countries that have confirmed their participation and are determining the level of participation, meaning on the level of the first or second person in the state or foreign minister. The third category is those that are still deciding on the participation," Deputy Minister said.

Dzeppar noted that "it will be several dozen countries." Germany and France belong to the second category of countries, i.e. they have confirmed their participation in the agenda and are now determining who will represent them.

However, according to Dzeppar, the list of countries hasn't been disclosed yet. After all, Russia is trying to discredit the Crimean Platform and make the summit be attended by as few countries as possible. To do this, the Russian Federation used all the levers of pressure and blackmail.

Deputy Minister said that the Crimean Platform Summit should take place on the territory of the Parkovyi Exhibition Center in Kyiv. And it should end with the signing of an "ambitious document" – the Crimean Declaration or the Crimean Charter. Now, according to Dzeppar, Ukraine is working with partners on the name.

According to her, this document should outline and codify the non-recognition of Russia's occupation of Crimea. The document should also clearly indicate who Russia is, how it harms Crimea and what consequences await it.

Note

The Crimean Platform Summit will be held on August 23. The main mission of the Crimean Platform is to raise the issue of Crimea to a higher level to draw the attention of the international community to its problems.

As Rubryka reported, today, July 5, the "International Politics" session of the All-Ukrainian Forum "Ukraine 30" began. The event will last in the capital for three days.

During the forum, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba said that Russia was intimidating other countries into not participating in the Crimean Platform.
