During his visit to Kyiv, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps announced the allocation of over $150 million to purchase more than 10,000 drones.

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky met with Shapps, who arrived in Ukraine on a visit.

Both discussed the continuation of defense cooperation in the further strengthening of air defense, long-range capabilities,  meeting other urgent needs in weapons and ammunition, and establishing joint arms production.

The British defense ministry chief announced that his country was allocating 325 million pounds, 125 million more than previously announced. This money will be used for supplies of over 10,000 drones.

In late January, Sweden and the UK decided to join the newly created drone coalition organized by Ukraine and Latvia.

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced during his visit to Kyiv in January that London would allocate 200 million pounds to manufacture various types of drones for the Ukrainian military.
