Russia lost 47,000 soldiers in 4-month battles for Avdiivka – Land Forces commander

In four months of the active fighting in Avdiivka, Ukrainian forces increased enemy losses by more than 47,000 troops and destroyed hundreds of tanks.

The Tauria forces group Oleksandr Tarnavskiy says Russian losses (from October 10, 2023 to February 17, 2024) include:

• 47,186 soldiers,
• 364 tanks,
• 248 artillery systems,
• 748 armored vehicles,
• five warplanes.

Over the past day, Ukrainian troops eliminated more than 1,000 more Russian soldiers, bringing the total losses since the beginning of the full-scale war to more than 402,400 troops.

Over the past day, Ukrainian forces also destroyed 11 tanks, 53 armored vehicles and 40 artillery systems.

The day before, Russian troops attempted to go on the offensive in the Zaporizhzhia region and sent about 30 vehicles and a large number of manpower to attack.

Ukrainian forces stopped the attack and killed about 70 troops.
