Wreckage of Russian Shahed drone found in Moldova

Near the village of Etulia in the Vulcănești district, close to the border with Ukraine in Moldova, fragments of an unmanned aerial vehicle of the Shahed type were discovered by the border police.

According to the information of the Moldovan border guards, the area where the wreckage of the combat drone was found on Sunday, February 11, was surrounded, and the data was handed over to the competent authorities.

"There is no risk or danger for the population in this area, and the authorities have taken all necessary measures to maintain public order, peace and security," the Border Police said.

It should be noted that the drone attack took place on the night of February 9-10 in the Izmail district of Ukraine, not far from the border with Moldova.

"There is a suspicion that the discovered wreckage of the drone is one of the drones shot down by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft system," the Border Police of Moldova said.

On February 10, the enemy launched 31 Shahed attack UAVs against Ukraine from the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea and the Russian Federation.

The main directions of the attack were the Odesa and Kharkiv regions.

As a result of the nighttime enemy air attack on Kharkiv, seven people died, and the number of victims increased to 57: there may be more bodies of dead people in the burned houses.

During combat operations, defenders destroyed 23 enemy drones within the Odesa and Kharkiv regions.

As Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said, at night, the enemy launched three waves of drones against the region.

"Three people, employees of near-port enterprises, were injured. The men received numerous shrapnel wounds and mine-explosive injuries. All were hospitalized, one of the injured is in serious condition," noted the regional military administration

The terrorists also attacked the civilian infrastructure of Izmail.

"Also in the territory of the Izmail district, as a result of the attack, the fall of the fragments of a downed drone caused a fire in a private house and a garage," the regional military administration summarized.

It also became known that Romania raised F-16 fighters into the air during Russia's massive attack on Ukraine.
