On Monday, January 8, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had a phone conversation with the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Rubryka reports.

"Thanks to Kuwait for supporting Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, voting for key Ukrainian resolutions at the UN, and providing timely assistance with generators ahead of winter," he said on Telegram.

During the conversation, Zelensky briefed the Emir of Kuwait on the resistance to missile terror that Russia resumed during the New Year holidays.

The leaders also discussed prospects for cooperation in the energy and agricultural sectors.

"Ukraine is making maximum efforts to restore a just peace. We ensure freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and remain a guarantor of global food stability," said Zelensky.

He added that Ukraine was actively working on the next steps for implementing the peace formula.

Moreover, Zelensky announced that he invited Kuwait to send a representative to the next meeting of advisors in Davos and participate in preparing the upcoming Global Peace Summit.

Ukrainian Peace Formula

As reported by Rubryka, at the G20 meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky presented a ten-point process for achieving peace with Russia:

  1. Radiation and nuclear safety (Russia's withdrawal from the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, abandoning nuclear threats).
  2. Food security (expanding the grain initiative).
  3. Energy security.
  4. Release of all prisoners and deportees (release by the formula "all for all").
  5. Compliance with the UN Charter and restoration of territorial integrity and the world order.
  6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities.
  7. Justice.
  8. Ecocide, the need for urgent environmental protection.
  9. Prevention of escalation.
  10. Record of the war's end.

The Ukrainian Peace Formula has received support from President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, who stated that his country supports the Ukrainian Peace Formula, France, which may take sponsorship of a point in the Ukrainian Peace Formula related to nuclear safety, the Chair of the European Commission, who mentioned that the peace formula should be a starting point for ending the war in Ukraine, and the European Union, which also supports Ukraine's peace formula and the holding of a summit to begin its implementation.
