The peace formula developed by the Ukrainian authorities should become the basis for ending the war with the Russian Federation.

According to Reuters, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stated this.

The official's statement coincided with the tour of European countries by China's Special Representative for Eurasian Affairs Li Hui.

"There is nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine… We must never forget that it was Ukraine that was subjected to a brutal invasion. Therefore, it is Ukraine that must lay down the fundamental principles for a just peace," said von der Leyen.

She also emphasized that the dialogue between the President of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, and President Volodymyr Zelensky is a good sign. But, according to her, Beijing should use its influence on Moscow to end the war.

It should be noted that earlier, the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni, called the peace formula an excellent starting point for ending Russia's war against Ukraine.

And according to the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, Ukraine's peace formula is unique, but Russia will not accept it.

For reference:

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in his speech to the participants of the "Group of 20", presented Ukraine's algorithm for achieving peace with Russia, which includes 10 points.

Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen said his country supports the Ukrainian peace formula.

France can assume a leadership role in relation to the nuclear security component of the Ukrainian peace initiative.
