Ukraine's intelligence unveils classified Russian military developments valued at $1.5 bln
The Ministry of Defense's Main Directorate of Intelligence received 100 gigabytes of classified data from the Russian company Special Technology Center LLC.
This was announced on the department's official website.
"The Russian enterprise has been under sanctions since 2016. Its facilities produce equipment and machinery used by the Russian army in the war against Ukraine. In particular, the STC produces Orlan drones of various modifications, a whole range of electronic warfare and intelligence tools, other military products," the intelligence noted.
The array of received information contains documentation for 194 nomenclature units:
- drawing;
- technical tasks;
- patents;
- Software.
That refers to both existing and prospective military developments. According to preliminary estimates of the General Directorate of Intelligence, the value of the received Russian data may amount to 1.5 billion dollars.
"This is a significant blow to terrorist Moscow. The archive is already being used to strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and weaken the aggressor state," the agency emphasized.
Ukraine's intelligence added that it was possible to obtain confidential information from one of the critically important enterprises of the Military Industry of the Russian Federation thanks to "effective interaction with patriotic representatives of civil society and the media community."
