Residents of Kyiv affected by Russian attack will receive compensation

Kyiv residents who suffered from the Russian rocket attack on January 2 can expect compensation. 

According to Kyiv City Council deputy Ksenia Semenova, a resilience center is open for everyone affected, Rubryka reports.

The Kharkiv city authorities are also providing assistance for the residents affected during the morning rocket strikes, Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported.

Kyiv residents can receive compensation through the application in the Diia governmental app, the social protection department of the district, and financial assistance at the deputy's offices. 

It is recommended that they apply to all three at once. To receive assistance, they need to have the following documents: passport, individual taxpayer identification number, account details, income certificate, and application.

The Solomianskyi district of Kyiv, which suffered the most in the morning attack, set up a resilience center with a warming and aid point in the medical office and the school cafeteria No. 221. Comprehensive assistance is available from specialists of the organization "Red Cross Ukraine" and the State Emergency Service (SES).

The social protection staff of the Solomianskyi district accepts applications for financial assistance. A commission is working to assess damages and compensations.

Kharkiv Mayor Terekhov announced in Telegram that those affected during the morning strikes in the Shevchenkivskyi district could receive assistance.

Kharkiv residents can contact the following numbers for help: (057) 760-72-41 and (057) 725-29-93. Office hours are from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 17:00.

Due to the rocket strike on Kharkiv on January 2, more than 50 people have already been affected, and another person has died.

"Kharkiv. As a result of the morning attack, 50 people have already been affected (including six children), and one person has died," said the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Currently, all fires have been extinguished. Rescuers are conducting searches and checking apartments. The number of affected civilians continues to increase.

"At the moment, the number of wounded has increased to 52 people, including six children," the regional prosecutor's office clarified.

Morning Massive Attack on Ukraine

A series of powerful explosions were reported in the morning in Kyiv. Russian forces launched ballistic missiles at the capital. Air defense systems were activated to repel the attack.

Falling debris was recorded in many city areas. Problems with electricity and water supply were reported in a few city districts. In the capital, over 25 were injured, and one person died in an ambulance.

According to the Kyiv City Military Administration, air defense forces downed all Shahed attack drones, over 60 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 missiles, and a dozen "Kinzhal" rockets in Kyiv. The air raid alarm lasted for almost six hours.

In the Kyiv region, three people were killed by Russian missiles. Another 11 are injured, including a child. Multi-story residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

The city of Kharkiv also faced a massive rocket strike. A 91-year-old woman died in the attack, and 44 people are known to be injured. Multi-story residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure have been damaged.
