United to win: Ukraine partners with Rheinmetall to launch domestic production of armored vehicles

In the near future, Ukraine and the German armaments company Rheinmetall plan to produce armored vehicles on Ukrainian soil.
Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during the Government meeting on December 5.
"This is a flagship project of uniting the forces of Ukraine and European gunsmiths to achieve a just peace and our common security. In the future, we will also bet on the transfer of technologies, investments in design developments, new productions, and Military Tech," Denys Shmyhal stressed.
During a visit to Berlin with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in October, the Prime Minister announced the launch of cooperation between the Ukrainian Defense Industrial Complex and German arms concern Rheinmetall. The company has already begun producing artillery shells for Ukraine and is continuing to receive new orders for them.

It should be noted that the Federal Antimonopoly Office of Germany allowed Rheinmetall to create a joint venture with Ukraine at the end of September.
It was reported that the company will be based in Kyiv.
Rheinmetall noted that the Kremlin's threats to intensify the bombing of Ukraine will not affect the intentions of the German arms company to build a tank factory in Ukraine.

It is important to note that Rheinmetall is actively helping Ukraine in the war against Russia by supplying ammunition and various equipment. In particular, the company recently received a new order for artillery shells for Ukraine.
