It is noted that a convoy of 14 trucks with humanitarian cargo "is being sent to support measures to restore sustainable electricity supply to areas affected by the current situation in Ukraine."

The next installments of the planned assistance, with a total cost of 7.6 million US dollars, which was prepared in accordance with the applications received from Ukraine, are planned to be sent shortly.

Earlier, Azerbaijan already sent humanitarian aid for electrical equipment to Ukraine. Its total amount, including funds for restoration and reconstruction provided by the Republic of Azerbaijan to Ukraine, is more than 33 million US dollars.

For reference:

Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Ukraine has received ten shipments of humanitarian aid from Azerbaijan for the energy sector, including 50 standby power plants and 45 power transformers.

In total, 154 Ukrainian children who suffered from the war and lost family members were brought to Azerbaijan for medical and socio-psychological rehabilitation as part of humanitarian aid measures.

Also, the humanitarian lyceum "Linguist," named after Zarifa Aliyeva, destroyed due to military operations in Irpin, was completely restored. Currently, the Azerbaijani side is doing appropriate work to restore several social objects that were seriously damaged in this city.
