Zelensky holds talks with Romanian President Iohannis

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met with the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis.

The official ceremony of the meeting was broadcast live on the Facebook page of the head of the Ukrainian state.

The meeting started with the playing of the anthems for both states.

The presidents observed the formation of the honor guard. Following that, the official delegations from both countries were presented. The leaders welcomed the delegations from Ukraine and Romania.

Then, the presidents went to negotiations.

The heads of state will hold talks face-to-face and in an extended format.

Volodymyr Zelensky and Klaus Iohannis will also meet with media representatives.

Today, October 10, the President of Ukraine arrived in Romania on an official visit. As part of the visit, Zelensky will discuss with his colleague Klaus Iohannis the security interaction between the countries, including strengthening air defense, the development of aviation and other defense coalitions, and the security situation in the Black Sea region.

Later, information appeared in the mass media that the leadership of the Parliament of Romania decided for security reasons that the joint meeting, which was originally planned for today in honor of Zelensky's arrival, would not take place.

On October 6, the Romanian publication Digi24 reported for the first time that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, would visit Romania this week.

Before that, on October 5, President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Granada, Spain, where a two-day summit was held at two levels with 47 European states representing the "European Political Community."

The head of state in Spain managed to hold negotiations with his colleagues. In particular, he agreed on the supply of air defense to Ukraine.

Also, earlier, there were reports that the President of Ukraine plans to visit Portugal. Kyiv and Lisbon supposedly agreed on the date of the visit.
