Ukraine's air defense downs 11 out of 15 drones in Russia's second consecutive attack

On Wednesday night of July 12, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine's regions with Iranian-made strike drones.

Rubryka reports, citing the statement of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram messaging app, that air defense forces downed 11 out of 15 drones.

"On the night of July 12, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from the north-eastern direction (Kursk, Russia) with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones," the military said.

The air force reports that, in total, the Russian forces used 15 kamikaze drones during the attack.

"11 of them were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of the Center and East air commands. Anti-aircraft missile units, fighter aircraft, mobile fire groups of the Air Force, and air defense of other components of Ukraine's Defense Forces were involved in repelling the attack," the military said.

The Air Force also reported that during the current and past days, Ukrainian aviation has carried out almost 30 group strikes on the Russian rear, military equipment, positions, and accumulation of troops.

As Rubryka reported, on July 11, Russian invaders attacked the regions of Ukraine with Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones. Air defense forces downed 26 enemy air targets.

On the same night, there was also an attack on Ukraine's capital. The anti-aircraft defense destroyed all air targets. In the Kyiv region, windows and outbuildings of private households were damaged due to falling drone debris. In Odesa, the Russian occupiers tried to attack the grain terminal of one of the ports.
