Finland to provide Ukraine with €105 mln military aid package

Today, July 6, the President of Finland, Sauli Niinistö, agreed to allocate another package of military aid to Ukraine.

The Finnish government reported this on the official website.

Ukraine will receive equipment, including anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition.

The aid package is worth about 105 million euros.

For security reasons, Finland is not releasing detailed information about the contents of the aid package.

"The outcome of the war will determine the order of security in Europe and Finland for decades, so supporting Ukraine is an integral part of Finland's security," says Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen.

This is already the 17th package of military aid from the country.

When deciding on additional assistance, both the needs of Ukraine and the resources of the Defense Forces were taken into account.

For reference:

The total value of all military aid from Finland is about 1.2 billion euros.

It should be noted that Finland and the United States of America are negotiating a defense agreement that will allow the American armed forces to use Finnish land and bases to store military equipment and conduct exercises.

On May 3 this year, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, visited Finland.

On May 25, Finland sent Ukraine the 16th package of military aid.
