Finland reinforces Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense with new $109 mln package

Ukraine will receive the 16th military aid package from Finland.

The European Pravda reports, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Finland, that the package includes anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition.

What is the problem?

Ukrainian officials, Western diplomats, and analysts have stressed that delivering weapons from partners takes a long time. This is especially relevant amid Ukraine's preparations for a spring counteroffensive that could affect the outcome of the war.

What is the solution?

Finland has sent the 16th military aid package to Ukraine, which includes anti-aircraft weapons and ammunition.

"Finland continues to support Ukraine together with our international partners. The value of all military aid packages provided by Finland is now 1.1 billion," said Finnish Defense Minister Antti Kaikkonen.

How does it work?

The cost of the new military aid package is estimated at €109 million.

For operational reasons and to ensure safe delivery, the Ministry of Defense of Finland didn't provide any details about the exact content, method, and timing of the aid delivery.
