The British Ministry of Defense showed a video with new drones that will soon enter service with Ukraine's armed forces.

The UK remains one of the main allies of Ukraine during the war. London has provided a number of major military aid packages since the start of the full-scale invasion.

What is the problem?

The main objective of the drone operator is reconnaissance and adjustment of artillery fire, search and rescue operations and sometimes dropping ammunition on enemy targets.

Ukraine's front line stretched for more than 2,000 kilometers, which means that troops need a lot of drones.

All reconnaissance drones must be resistant to Russian electronic warfare, have high-quality details, technical base and certification, at least in NATO countries. However, this requires a lot of money.

What is the solution?

New drones will be part of a military aid package that was announced in February 2023. The first batches of new drones will be sent to Ukraine next month.

The Ukrainian military will receive UAVs capable of carrying anti-submarine munitions. Also, some of the new drones will have vertical takeoff and landing.

The International Fund for Ukraine is supplying critical capabilities for Ukraine, with deliveries from the first procurement round due next month, the defense ministry says on Twitter.

How does it work?

The video shows medium-sized drones equipped with anti-submarine munitions.

The British military showed a reconnaissance drone that can take off both from the ground and from a combat ship. One of the drones has the inscription "NAF-167".

On June 13, the UK announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth $116 million.

It will help to increase the efficiency of Ukraine's Air Force. The package is provided through the International Fund for Ukraine.

Ukraine is increasing the production of strike drones, which have a long range of use and a powerful explosive charge.
