New US military aid package on its way to Ukraine – Ukraine's Foreign Minister

Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, after a meeting in Brussels with US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, announced that a new military aid package is already on its way to Ukraine.

The head of the Ukrainian diplomacy wrote about this on Twitter.

"Glad to meet with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. More military aid is on its way to help Ukraine liberate more territory from Russian occupation. I am grateful to the US for its unwavering support of Ukraine," Kuleba wrote.

The minister added that he and Blinken also exchanged views on current issues ahead of the NATO summit in Vilnius.

For reference:

As reported, the White House announced another defense aid package for Ukraine on April 3. John Kirby, the National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications for the US, declared that a new military aid package for Ukraine might be proclaimed this week. He could not provide information on a definite date but remarked that the White House has been toiling "hard since the prior package" to prepare the new one, which will arrive shortly. He noted that the latest batch of aid would match the weapons and ammunition recently supplied to Ukraine's army. Additionally, Kirby referred to the condition of the frontlines, forecasting that a new surge of combat is to be expected with better weather.

Last week, the American agency Reuters, citing sources in the administration, reported on preparing a new package of defense support for Ukraine in the amount of 2.6 billion US dollars.
