Zelensky and Dutch PM discuss military aid to Ukraine

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, held a meeting in Kyiv to discuss military assistance to Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian president and Dutch PM mentioned that the issue of the supply of combat aircraft requires further consideration.

Zelensky and Rutte announced this at a press conference in Kyiv after the negotiations, Interfax-Ukraine cites.

"The issue of aircraft is more complicated than the 'tank coalition.' We will work on this coalition. We have started talking about training.

This is a question for the whole world because it does not depend on one country. This is a question of many components. Ukraine is persistent in those things that protect our values. We believe we will have a result in this direction," Zelensky said.

"We have seen this before when we reached decisions on tanks and self-propelled artillery. We believe we will agree on this as we did with tanks. We may assume there will be deliveries and training, but I am not ready to discuss the issue at the moment.

The Netherlands is inclined to deliver these planes – yes, it is true. But I would not want to elaborate further because this will not help to reach a decision," Rutte said.
