Canada's Minister of National Defense talked about Senator armored vehicles Ukraine will receive

Senator APC armored vehicles, which Canada will provide to Ukraine, are equipped with smart technologies that will allow soldiers to recognize threats in advance.

Canada's Minister of National Defense Anita Anand stated this at a joint press conference with Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov in Kyiv, the department's press service reports.

"Senator APCs are defense vehicles. And I have heard many times that Ukrainian units have appreciated their maneuverability and adaptability. The vehicles offer the most modern, best-in-class technology and can easily be equipped with weapons. These vehicles ensure the safe transportation of personnel and equipment and medical evacuation. The minister said that they are equipped with smart technologies that allow soldiers to recognize threats in advance, and their armor allows them to protect the crew when it is impossible to avoid danger.

The head of Canada's defense department also added that Canada would continue to participate in the UNIFIER mission, within the framework of which Ukrainian servicemen are trained in Great Britain and Poland.

Also, Canada will continue to provide logistical assistance in matters of delivery of equipment and weapons provided to Ukraine by partner countries.

Since the beginning of 2022, Canada has provided direct financial, military, humanitarian, and other assistance to Ukraine in the amount of more than 5 billion Canadian dollars. In light of today's announcement, Canada has provided Ukraine with military assistance worth over CAD 1 billion, including the advanced NASAMS anti-aircraft missile system.
