Ukraine needs more air defense systems to protect cities from russian missile attacks.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged the Alliance countries to do so, arriving at the ministerial meeting of NATO states in Brussels.

"We will address how to ramp up support for Ukraine, and the top priority will be more air defense for Ukraine," Stoltenberg emphasized.

"I welcome the fact that NATO allies are providing air defense systems. This is extremely important. And I welcome the recent announcement by Germany and the delivery of a German air defense system to Ukraine.

I think we can all see why this is so important. Terrible attacks against Ukrainian cities, civilians killed, critical civilian infrastructure destroyed, severe attacks on the energy system on the eve of winter," the NATO Secretary General emphasized.

Stoltenberg noted that to protect its skies, Ukraine must have a more significant number of different types of systems.

"All this demonstrates the urgent need for more air defense for Ukraine. The Allies have provided air defense systems, but more is needed.

Different types of air defense systems are needed: short-range, long-range, air defense systems against ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, drones, and other systems for various tasks," the head of the Alliance emphasized.

The NATO Secretary General added that Ukraine is a large country with many cities, so support should be increased so that Ukraine can protect more civilians.

It was reported that Washington is working on accelerating the delivery of NASAMS air defense systems to Ukraine.

In addition, Ukraine also received the first IRIS-T air defense system from Germany.

Reznikov also reported that 4 HIMARS had arrived in Ukraine from the United States.
