Zelensky talked to Macron: details

President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron the consideration of Ukraine's application for candidate status for accession to the European Union.

Zelensky announced this on Twitter.

Yes, he clarified that the conversation with Macron was long.

Zelensky said that he had told the French president about the course of hostilities, the operation to rescue the military from the Azovstal metallurgical plant in Mariupol, and his vision of the prospects of the negotiation process.

"He raised the issue of fuel supply to Ukraine. They also discussed defense support from France, preparation of the 6th package of sanctions, and possible ways to export Ukrainian agricultural products. We discussed the consideration of our application for EU candidate status," said the President.

As previously reported, Macron said earlier that Ukraine's accession to the European Union could be delayed for years.
