russian occupiers are increasing the pace of the offensive in eastern Ukraine, Ministry of Defense reports

This was announced during a briefing in Ukrinform by Defense Ministry spokesperson Oleksandr Motuzianyk.

"The enemy is conducting an offensive operation in the Eastern Operational Zone. The main goal of the enemy is to establish full control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and ensure the stability of the land corridor with the occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The greatest activity of the occupiers is observed in Sloboda and Donetsk directions," Motuzianyk said.

According to him, the russian invaders are preparing additional units to take part in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine. In addition, missiles and airstrikes on military and civilian targets throughout Ukraine continue.

"Operational and tactical aviation of the air and space forces of the russian federation performed 138 sorties, at least 38 of which were used to destroy facilities in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions," the spokesman added.

As reported, the Armed Forces have already killed 22,400 Russian servicemen.

In addition, from February 24 to April 27, the enemy lost tanks – 939, armored combat vehicles – 2342, artillery systems – 421, MLRS – 149, air defense – 71, aircraft – 185, helicopters – 155, vehicles – 1666, ships / boats – 8, fuel tanks – 76, UAVs of operational and tactical level – 207, special equipment – 31, MANPADS / TBM launchers – 4.
