Zelenskyy calls on partner countries to review arms regulations and act quickly

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on the partner countries to reconsider the rules of arms supply because we cannot waste time, we need to defend ourselves and fight for our existence.

The Ukrainian head of state said this during a speech before the South Korean parliament, Ukrinform reports.

"We need much more to survive this war against an enemy as prepared as the russian federation, against a state that has suffered no losses and has a large stockpile of military equipment since the Soviet era. We need air defense systems, we need planes, tanks, armored vehicles, artillery systems, and ammunition. And you have what can be indispensable for us. You have armored vehicles, anti-aircraft, anti-tank, anti-ship weapons. And when it comes to survival in a war aimed at completely conquering people, we need to give principled answers. Of course, the rules of arms supply need to be reviewed and you need to act quickly. You need to help," Zelenskyy said.

He stressed that providing weapons to Ukraine meant not only saving the lives of citizens, not only giving the opportunity to unblock Ukrainian cities, but also saving other states from the further deployment of russian aggression.

"Every nation has the right to live independently, every city has the right to complete security, every person has the right to freedom and to seek their own happiness," he said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed that our state receives support from around the world and is very grateful for that.

As reported, russian president putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. russian troops fire and destroy infrastructure, conduct massive shelling of residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles.
