The President spoke about the horrors of the Russian occupiers on our land and called for more to bring peace to Ukraine, in particular, to provide weapons.
"Russia wants to bring aggression further into Europe. Ukraine is just the beginning, if we do not stop Russia, not stop it immediately. For 36 days, our state and our people face the army, which was called one of the strongest in the world.
For many countries, the war in Ukraine is already becoming routine. But we are now at a time when we need to act even harder than in the first month of the war. We have no right to give this war another 36 days. We must all work together to force Russia to seek peace," Zelenskyy said.
The president said that the Russian military "burns Ukrainian villages, rapes women, steals everything possible, they even kill not for some military success, not to sow terror, they are already killing for fun."
He also added that for many people in the world, the war in Ukraine was becoming routine, but not for those who defend our country; not for the residents of Mariupol, who sit in the basements of the destroyed city to save lives.
According to the President, today thousands of Ukrainian children and tens of thousands of adults were forcibly transported to the territory of the occupying country. Ukraine knows nothing about the fate of most of them.
Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine would never accept this and would never stop defending itself.
He called on the Netherlands to tighten sanctions against Russia and, together with other EU countries, "do everything possible to prevent Russia from continuing the war."
"Close your ports, stop all trade, prepare to give up Russian energy resources as soon as possible, so that billions of euros from them do not go to arms production and to pay for mass killings in Ukraine.
Dutch people, tyranny must lose, tyranny must always lose. For this to happen, freedom must get all the weapons it needs to win, to defend itself. The weapons that you have on the continent.
Ukraine is grateful to you for the support you have already received. But the war is so intense, Russian troops are so active that we need more. Stingers will allow us to hold on, fight, but this is not a weapon of victory.
We desperately need weapons that can make our skies safe, unblock our cities where Russia is arranging artificial famine.
We need weapons that will drive out the occupiers: planes, tanks, air defenses, and so on. You have this list, and I hope you will find an opportunity to help us with this," Zelenskyy said.
