There are no signs of China's military assistance to Russia - the United States

The United States is closely monitoring China's actions toward Russia in the context of the war in Ukraine, and US officials say there are no signs of military aid to Moscow from Beijing.

CNN reported this.

As you know, US President Joe Biden on March 18 spoke by phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping. At the time, the Chinese leader assured Biden that China was not interested in the war in Ukraine unleashed by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

On Tuesday, March 22, US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan said that since that conversation, the Biden administration has not recorded any Chinese provision of military support to Russia.

"I can't predict the future. But I can tell you (as of now – UP) that we haven't recorded the provision of Chinese military equipment to China since President Biden's talks with China. But, of course, we are watching this closely.

We will continue to monitor this issue. And President Biden has clearly explained to President Xi the consequences of providing Russia with any equipment, and the Chinese side understands this very well," Sullivan said.

Note

Amid the military failure in Ukraine, Russia tried to ask China for military and economic assistance.

However, both Russia and Beijing have denied such "rescue" requests for Putin.
