Foreign ministers of five countries will visit Ukraine next week

The foreign ministers of Germany, France, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia will visit Ukraine next week.

This was stated by Foreign Ministry spokesperson Oleh Nikolenko at an online briefing on Tuesday, February 1, Ukrinform reports.

The Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted that the prime ministers of Great Britain, Poland, and the Netherlands were in Ukraine today, and the president of Turkey would arrive in a few days.

"German and French foreign ministers will pay a joint visit to Ukraine on February 7-8 to visit Donbas. Next week Dmytro Kuleba will also hold talks in Kyiv with the foreign ministers of Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia," Nikolenko said.

He added that the Ukrainian government was constantly working with international partners to deter Russia from further Russian escalation.

"Nobody knows what's in the head of the Russian leadership, but we know for sure that with such an intensive presence of foreign top officials in Ukraine, the risks of further aggression are reduced," said the Foreign Ministry spokesperson.

Russia has reportedly been withdrawing troops to Ukraine's borders since late October.
