Ukraine is seeking the involvement of the United States in the talks on Donbas, actual news may appear after the talks between Presidents Volodymyr Zelenskyi and Joe Biden, scheduled for August.

Oleksii Arestovych, an adviser to the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group, spoke about this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel.

"As for the involvement of the United States, negotiations are underway. Deputy Prime Minister Reznikov spoke about their admissibility. There have been other statements in the media, including statements by representatives of the Office of the President, that such talks are underway. They even mentioned the name of Victoria Nuland as a US-appointed person in charge of resolving the crisis in eastern Ukraine and the Crimea," he said.

According to Arestovych, news should appear in August after the visit of the President of Ukraine to the United States and direct talks with the President of the United States.

"As I understand it, we want the United States to be involved in one way or another in the issues being addressed in the Normandy and Minsk formats, to take an active part there and make some efforts to ensure that the issues raised during the last Paris summit, got off the ground and began to be implemented, first, humanitarian issues and safety," the adviser of the Ukrainian delegation in TCG stated.
