The first stage of vaccination in Ukraine provides access to the vaccine for 367,491 people.

Health Minister Maksym Stepanov announced this at a briefing.

"The first stage vaccinates people at critical risk of infection and the development of coronavirus disease and those who perform critical functions in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The first stage involves access to vaccines; the total number of people we'll vaccinate is 367,491 people. All these people are completely verified," Stepanov said.

He noted that employees of mobile vaccination teams, medical workers, doctors, and paramedics working in health care facilities providing care for coronavirus were being vaccinated. The vaccine will also be given to all laboratory workers who test for coronavirus, emergency workers, people in specialized facilities, employees of these facilities, and the military.

The Minister assured that vaccination in Ukraine would begin in February this year, as planned.

According to him, vaccination will be carried out exclusively with safe vaccines, which will be registered in Ukraine and have passed all stages of clinical trials. He added no one would register the Russian vaccine in Ukraine.
